You can submit a citizenship application online through the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) e-Services portal. The portal requires you to have a Singpass account to submit your application.

2. What is the processing time for a Citizenship application?

Applications are typically processed within 12 months, provided all required documents are submitted and in order. Some applications may take longer to process.

3. What is the application fee for Citizenship?

At submission:

S$100 for each application (adult PRs and children of PRs).

S$18 for overseas-born children to Singapore citizen parents.​

At completion of formalities:

S$10 for Singapore Identity Card (for new citizens aged 15 and above).​

S$70 for Singapore Citizenship Certificate.

4. When can I collect my pink Identity Card after my Singapore citizenship registration?

You are required to complete your Singapore Citizenship (SC) Journey within two months from the date of issue of the letter.

5. When is my Singapore citizenship registration appointment after my application is approved?

ICA will schedule an appointment for you to complete your citizenship registration. The date of the appointment is in the letter which can be downloaded by the main applicant/sponsor via the ICA portal.

6. How do I travel if I renounced my foreign citizenship but have not registered for Singapore citizenship?

You must complete your citizenship registration before you can apply for a Singapore passport to travel.

7. How do I apply Singapore citizenship for my child who is born overseas?

If either parent is a Singapore citizen, he/she can submit citizenship application for the child on the ICA portal using his/her Singpass.
